Longwood Alliance hosted a Veterans Day commemoration event at Bartlett Park. Boy Scout Troop 433 provided the color guard and Taps. The event was well attended by veterans and residents. Christina Kriete, a graduate of Longwood High School who recently returned from serving in Iraq in the US Army, presented a flag that was flown in Iraq. Guest speakers included Councilwoman Connie Kepert, Legislator Kate Browning, and Longwood School Board VP Dan Tomaszewski. The many veterans in attendance introduced themselves to the grateful audience. The program was conducted by Longwood Alliance President Gail Lynch-Bailey.
