Many thanks to the Town of Brookhaven Parks Department and our MI Civic planting group for the red, white and blue flowers at Bartlett Pond Park and Artist Lake. Kathy Stuck, Judy Cumiskey, Lydia Fusco and Gail Lynch-Bailey got all 18 pots planted on Friday! Check things out at our 18th Annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, 11am at Bartlett Pond Park.
We, the Middle Island Civic Association, believe the strength of a democratic society lies in the citizens’ ability and inclination to participate in the act of governing. We further believe that in unity there is strength, and that the efforts of many may achieve results that cannot be achieved by the individual. We, therefore, encourage the people of Middle Island to participate in the process of government. Through our organization we encourage our representatives to be responsive to the needs of their constituents, and to preserve, protect, and foster the environmental, economic, historical, educational, and cultural amenities of Middle Island.
