MICAns Engage in Good Works at Nov & Dec Meetings

Major portions of the November and December 2025 MICA meetings were devoted to some “Hands On” outreach. On Nov 20th, MICA members carefully printed names of recent military inductees from the Longwood area on polished stones. These were then spray varnished and placed at the foot of the Peace Pole at Bartlett Pond Park on Sun, Dec 7th as part of our Pearl Harbor Day Patriotic Tree Lighting Ceremony. On Dec 18th, MICA held its fifth Goody Bag Assembly Line for Homeless Outreach. One hundred gallon ziplock bags were filled with essential items including a hat, gloves, socks, a mylar blanket, hand warmers, toothbrush & paste, comb, lotion, chapstick, tissues, a candy cane and more. This year’s Good Bags were donated to Branches Long Island. Members always enjoy this assembly line work for the better of the less fortunate in our community!
