Please join us on Monday, May 26th at 11am for our 17th Annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Bartlett Pond Park in Middle Island. Songs, prayers, reading, remarks, wreath placements and more will honor all those who gave their lives in service to our nation. This year the LHS Choral Lions will perform. All Welcome. Bring a lawn chair.
We, the Middle Island Civic Association, believe the strength of a democratic society lies in the citizens’ ability and inclination to participate in the act of governing. We further believe that in unity there is strength, and that the efforts of many may achieve results that cannot be achieved by the individual. We, therefore, encourage the people of Middle Island to participate in the process of government. Through our organization we encourage our representatives to be responsive to the needs of their constituents, and to preserve, protect, and foster the environmental, economic, historical, educational, and cultural amenities of Middle Island.
