MICA celebrated the 30th anniversary of our Walmart 2156 on Friday, April 4, 2025. MICAns presented Store Manager Steve Kern with a congratulatory certificate. We were also happy to see Greg Lambert, who has risen steadily among the ranks of Walmart supervisors after starting work part time at 2156 when he was a lad! Did you know the Middle Island Walmart was the first Walmart to open on Long Island? When fast-tracking winter storm Nemo closed Middle Country Road, Walmart sheltered dozens of stranded shoppers overnight, feeding folks who couldn’t get home. For 30 years, MI’s Walmart has provided thousands of jobs, millions of bargains and essential pharmacy services. Thank you and congratulations, 2156. Happy 30th Anniversary and many more.
