Due to the rain and possibility of a thunderstorm, we are cancelling today’s ceremony at Bartlett. Frank and I will turn on the lights and set out the wreaths at 12:30 pm. Any rain-hardy souls are welcome to join us.
Please join us at Bartlett Pond Park on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 12:30pm for our 6th Annual Longwood Veterans Patriotic Holiday Tree Lighting in Remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day. Our tree will be lit with red, white and blue lights and wreaths will be placed at all eight monuments. We will recall the Day of Infamy and how one local man’s story of survival inspired the unique Longwood Veterans Walk at this Town of Brookhaven park. All Welcome! Veterans, Active Military and Family reps especially urged to attend and be recognized.
