Dear Friends –
It breaks my heart to inform you of the passing of our dear friend and past MICA president, Tom Talbot. Tom died earlier today after a long illness. Tom was one of a kind: a true gentleman in every sense of the word, a devoted family man, and an amazing community volunteer. He was a long time officer in our civic, ABCO, the Longwood Alliance and Rotary. With his beloved wife, Judi, he traveled the world as an ambassador of good will, embodying the Rotarian principles, and also hosted many international families and students. Tom was one of the founders of the Great Brookhaven Town Clean Up. I am forever indebted to him for his lessons of patience and perseverance. Funeral arrangements, linked below, are set for Saturday, June 2 at Rocky Point Funeral Home. I will consult with our board members on making a contribution to a worthy cause in Tom’s memory, and I would like to rename our upcoming June 5th awards to the two Longwood HS seniors as the Thomas L. Talbot Community Service Awards.
Thanks for your support and understanding,
