On Saturday, January 28th, MICA Board members and their families joined Councilman Mike Loguercio, franchise owner Kate Hunt, McDonalds employees and of course, Ronald McDonald himself!, for an official ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Middle Island location. Many thanks to the Councilman for arranging this event and including MICA in the fun. As some of you recall, MICA worked very closely with the developers to make this particular restaurant one that better fits our community. We are pleased with the results and hope it will bring additional business to the adjacent shopping center. Love the new table service, too!

We, the Middle Island Civic Association, believe the strength of a democratic society lies in the citizens’ ability and inclination to participate in the act of governing. We further believe that in unity there is strength, and that the efforts of many may achieve results that cannot be achieved by the individual. We, therefore, encourage the people of Middle Island to participate in the process of government. Through our organization we encourage our representatives to be responsive to the needs of their constituents, and to preserve, protect, and foster the environmental, economic, historical, educational, and cultural amenities of Middle Island.
