Middle Island Civic Association Meeting Notice

Thursday, October 20th, 2016 at 7:00PM

Our next MICA meeting will be held on Thursday, October 20th, 2016 in the first floor Clemens Room of our beautiful LONGWOOD PUBLIC LIBRARY at 800 Middle Country Road at 7:00PM.  Please join us!

Real estate attorney Tim Shea, of Certilman Balin, will introduce two potential projects for the Middle Country Road corridor in Middle Island.

MICA’s “Meet the Candidates Night” will commence shortly thereafter.  Incumbents Dean Murray, Anthony Palumbo and Ken LaValle are confirmed participants.  Still hoping to hear back from the challengers!  All welcome to attend.

We will utilize our well-established, respectful and friendly forum.  Each candidate will have an equal, allotted time to speak and answer a few questions if time permits.  Only candidates themselves may speak – no surrogates or representatives. Candidates must be nominees from major political parties who will represent Middle Island residents if elected.  Questions from MICA members will be entertained first; each questioner shall give their name and hamlet of residence. And all audience members are expected to behave appropriately.

MICA will provide updates on Innovation Toyota, Sandy Hills, Field of Dreams Park, the proposed 7Eleven, McDonalds, Neighborhood Watch and more.

Remember to bring non-perishable goods for donation to local agencies. Thanks
