Our MI WalMart’s Blizzard Nemo Heroes were recognized at the Middle Island Civic Association’s March meeting. These folks did an amazing job helping numerous motorists who found themselves stranded on Middle Country Road when the blizzard conditions turned so ferocious. They fed, clothed and sheltered many from the storm, some remaining in the store for 50 hours after working a full day beforehand.
MICA presented a framed certificate for the store to display and individual thanks saying “Keep Up the Good Work!” Pictured with MICA VP Gail Lynch-Bailey are: Gerard Greek, Store Manager; Theresa Sowinski, Pharmacy Manager; Saeeda Malik, Pharmacy Technician; Dan McHorney, Assistant Store Manager; George Butler, Sporting Goods Manager; and Asja Mayo, Pharmacy Cashier.
