The Middle Island Civic Association participated in this year’s Town Fair. Sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven, the Fair was held on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13, at the Longwood Estate on Smith Road in Ridge. Hours were 11 a.m to 5 p.m. Admission was $2 each, with seniors and kids free. MICA board members staffed a table to recruit new civic members and share information on important projects in our area, such as the proposed Toyota expansion, the Sandy Hills project, and the future of the K Mart site. Many people stopped by and found out what’s going on!
