Food Drive at King Kullen This Sunday

The Middle Island Civic Association will conduct a FOOD DRIVE this Sunday, December 2nd,  from 10:00 am – 3:00pm at the Middle Island King Kullen on Middle Country Road.  We will distribute fliers to interested shoppers as they enter the store, and then collect any donated items as they leave.  Volunteers are needed and welcome.  Dress warmly as we will be outside for much of the time.  No one will need to stay for all five hours if we have enough coverage. During the Holiday Season there is a huge drain on the resources of our local food pantries. Please look into your heart and, if you’re able, take the time to buy a few extra items.  Drop them off outside the entrance to the store.  THANK YOU for your generosity, and thanks also to KING KULLEN for allowing us to collect here!

Baby Foods, Diapers. Wipes
Canned Fish (tuna, etc.)
Peanut Butter & Jelly
Cereals & Breakfast Bars
Canned or Powdered Milk

Toilet Paper/Facial Tissue

All Soups
Instant Potatoes
Sauces & Gravy
Pasta & Macaroni
Canned or Box Juices
Coffee & Tea
Sugar & Flour
Rice & Stuffing

Cake or Cookie Mix /Frosting

Bar Soap, Small Shampoo

Civic Association Volunteers will deliver all donations to local food pantries in the Middle Island and Longwood areas. MICA meets monthly at 7:00pm every 3rd Thursday at the Longwood Public Library.
