I. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited
II. January 19, 2012 minutes were read and approved
III. Treasurer’s Report was read – Savings $2,712.69, Checking $60.24
IV. Correspondence – e-mail from President Talbot – Will be back for March meeting. Message from Ira Siegel, Roundtable mtg. 4/25/12 at Birchwood – time tba
V. Reports of Committees/Officers – Membership/drive/ now in effect, dues are due, new membership form designed, business cards and literature racks to be ordered
Unfinished Business:
Artist Lake Plaza – Gail spoke to John LaMura
Bartlett Pond Park – New monument placement – dedication ceremony – 6/16/12
Community Garden – much outside interest
Longwood Library – February 20th – Bill Erdmann will speak re: on-going agricultural mission to Haiti. Design of building – Chris Hanley will keep us updated
Nelin Property – Members/others need to contact them with regard to “no gas” station on Middle Country Road
New Business:
Formation of Nominating Committee – three members in good standing re: April officer election Frank Bailey & Jack Stinton to serve, seeking a third person
Davis House Committee formed by Coram Civic
Bone Marrow Screening & Blood Drive – Yaphank FD, Sat. 2/25 10-4
Recent crime along Middle Country Rd. – robbery at Barnwood deli, shooting at Coram store
