MICA Members were recently pleased to learn the following from Al Rodriguez, the newest member of MICA. Al coaches a girls soccer team named the Longwood Lionesses.
“I delivered over 200 lbs. of clothing, toys and food to the Burns family home this past week. I made sure to mention to Mrs. Burns that I was made aware of their situation due to the Middle Island Civic Association. My daughter’s team, the Longwood Lionesses, collected all the items themselves. I just want to thank you for the opportunity of getting us involved in this good deed for someone in our community.”
MICA President Tom Talbot added, “I would have to say that in addition to playing soccer, the team members are learning the value of civic responsibility.”
