The next meeting of the Middle Island Civic Association is Thursday, February 18th, 2010 at 7:00p.m. at the Longwood Public Library. Invited guest speakers are Suffolk County Police Inspectors Robert Oswald and David Ferrera of the 6th and 7th Precincts respectively. Both men have confirmed that they or their deputy inspectors will be happy to attend and answer member questions. We will also be electing the Nominating Committee this month. And it’s time to pay your annual dues!

About Us
We, the Middle Island Civic Association, believe the strength of a democratic society lies in the citizens’ ability and inclination to participate in the act of governing. We further believe that in unity there is strength, and that the efforts of many may achieve results that cannot be achieved by the individual. We, therefore, encourage the people of Middle Island to participate in the process of government. Through our organization we encourage our representatives to be responsive to the needs of their constituents, and to preserve, protect, and foster the environmental, economic, historical, educational, and cultural amenities of Middle Island.
