Councilwoman Kepert’s office has notified MICA that attorneys for the applicant have asked for an adjourment of the 8/12 Public Hearing for the McDonalds in Middle Island. A new date of September 30th has been requested.
Maybe they’ll come up with a buidling design that doesn’t look like a prison!
We all should remember that the MI Civic unanimously rejected McDonald’s request to locate in the King Kullen shopping center.
An update received from the Town today…
RE: Setting a Public Hearing on Special Permit Application:
McDonald’s Middle Island File #2013-26
“Please be advised that at the June 24, 2014 Town Board Meeting, a resolution was adopted setting a Public Hearing for the above application. The Public Hearing will be held on August 12th, 2014 at the Brookhaven Town Auditorium, One Independence Hill, second floor, Farmingville, New York at 6:30 pm.”
The presence and voice of MICA members, and other interested parties is imperative in preventing the approval of this application.
