Meeting was Called to Order at 7:05 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.<\/p>\n<p>II. April Meeting Minutes were approved as read on a motion by. I. Siegel, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> by B. Mahan.<\/p>\n<p>III. Treasurer\u2019s Report: $3206.71 in savings account; $166.97 in checking.<\/p>\n<p>IV. Correspondence<\/p>\n<p>V. Reports of Committees &amp; Officers<\/p>\n<p>VI. Unfinished Business<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LPL \u2013 Fri. June 10 evening added to Green Library charrettes of June 11 and July 16<\/li>\n<li>Sandy Hills: TOB must re-do the re-zone vote and get a super majority<\/li>\n<li>Longwood Day: May 14- MICA met a lot of friends<\/li>\n<li>School\u00a0 Budegt Vote: high majority in favor, $ amount lower than last year<\/li>\n<li>Relay for Life: May 21- cancer research fundraiser at LHS; purple decorations around town<\/li>\n<li>June 4 Plant In \u2013 Tom searching for plant sources for town-wide program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VII. New Business<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Boy Scout Troop 433 \u2013 Dennis Fox is 50<sup>th<\/sup> Eagle Scout, MICA @ Court of Honor held April 30<\/li>\n<li>Island Squire property: fenced but still a nightmare, new break-in, wooden panel removed, owner wants to sell<\/li>\n<li>MIFD Substation: much progress on new fa\u00e7ade, work to be finished by end of June?<\/li>\n<li>DRSs: Artist Lake Plaza, The Meadows at Yaphank \u2013 positives: anti-blight, jobs, aesthetics; negs: traffic<\/li>\n<li>Memorial Day \u2013 11am ceremony at Bartlett Pond Park, Monday, May 30<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>99 acres of MI Pine Barrens preserved: \u201cGene\u2019s Four Seasons\u201d adjacent to Cathedral Pines- $5million pricetag<\/li>\n<li>Pet Cemetery-BZA application to re-build after last summer\u2019s fire; Tom will review plans more closely<\/li>\n<li>Coram Health Center officially \u201cde-funded,\u201d\u00a0 may close; protest held; other half, Social Services, to remain open<\/li>\n<li>Mott House- collapsed in 2010, LIBI to re-build but is short of funds, TOB securing other revenues to assist<\/li>\n<li>MICA Scholarships to LHS student \u2013 June 7th ceremony \u2013 to be based on community service<\/li>\n<li>MIFD MegaBucks- chance to win $10,000 this Saturday<\/li>\n<li>Bartlett Pond Park &#8211; May 18 PBC meeting statement by Supervisor Lesko accepting full responsibility for clearing of invasives; TOB to hire aborist, assess remaining trees, Fall re-vegetation plan &amp; playground expansion<\/li>\n<li>Anti-Graffiti Measures \u2013 unable to remove during legal investigation?\u00a0 May 24 TOB hearing for new legislation requiring prompt removal by business owners, proposed 48 hour deadline to be lengthened to 5 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VIII. Guests-Bob &amp; Victor from Sand Pebbles urged attendance at Library charrettes; and Town of Brookhaven\u2019s Paul Rogalle, AICP, PTP, TOPS, TSOS, Director of Planning: our MI neighbor, Paul gave a lively discussion about traffic safety, land use, planning, red-light cameras and the proposed Whiskey Road Traffic \u201cEgg-About\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>IX.
