The Middle Island Civic Association has been meeting virtually since July.\u00a0 \u00a0We continue to review proposed projects for our hamlet,\u00a0 and strive to keep our members informed about many issues.\u00a0 Since January, getting vaccine appointments has dominated our concerns, and we are happy to learn that a great number of residents have succeeded in getting vaccinated.\u00a0 As we Zoom into spring, we look forward to staying in touch and working toward meeting again in person once it is very safe to do so.\u00a0 Members in good standing, and even some who aren&#8217;t quite current on their dues,\u00a0 receive emails alerting them to our efforts as well as the Zoom links to each monthly meeting.\u00a0 Please join us!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s hard to believe that it&#8217;s been more than a whole year since we last met in person at our beloved Longwood Public Library.\u00a0 We spent much of March, April and May hunkered down, staying home, sending out emails to members about Covid testing, safe ways to get food, medicine and PPE supplies and more.
