Last November we told you about a disturbing crime pattern being investigated by SCPD in our area, wherein a man entered unlocked homes, leered at women, took nothing, and then left when confronted, touching a few people in the process. The case went cold, then the “creeper” returned in late August and was active enough in September 2020 that the cops finally got him! News reports say Tyamie Bell, 39, of Selden, also committed similar, more lascivious acts as a teen. He has a conviction record and was on parole when apprehended. Bell is currently being held on $156,000 bail.<\/div>\n

Incident: Selden Man Arrested for Burglaries and Trespassing at Multiple Residences<\/div>\n
Location: Coram, Medford, Middle Island and Selden<\/div>\n

\n
Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for burglarizing and trespassing residences in Coram, Medford, Middle Island and Selden in 2019 and 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
A man entered yards or residences in Coram, Medford, Middle Island and Selden between October 2019 and September 2020. During two of the incidents, the suspect confronted residents.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Following an investigation, Sixth Squad Detectives, with assistance from Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, in addition to New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, arrested Tyamie Bell, 39, of 41 College Road, Selden. Bell was charged with two counts of Burglary 2nd Degree for the following incidents:<\/div>\n

\u00b7 Entering a home and confronting a resident on Norfleet Lane in Coram on July 20, 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He was charged with two counts of Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree for the following incidents:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00b7 Entering a home on Woodlawn Ave. in Selden on September 12, 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00b7 Entering a home on Carr Lane in Medford on November 10, 2019.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Bell was charged with four counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree for the following incidents:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00b7 Entering a yard on Cedarhurst Avenue in Selden on September 10, 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00b7 Entering a yard on Cedarhurst Avenue in Selden on September 14, 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00b7 Entering a home on Carr Lane in Coram on October 28, 2019.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00b7 Entering a home on Gray Avenue in Middle Island on August 24, 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Bell was also charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. He is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on September 22.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
