In June, we welcomed Akis Periculous\u00a0 to our civic meeting. He provided great samples of his Athens Greek restaurant cuisine.\u00a0 Akis and his family are pictured directly above.\u00a0 The Athens Diner is on the north side of Rt 25, where the Country Diner once operated.\u00a0 Reviews have been great!\u00a0 On Jully 22, we joined Councilman Mike Loguercio at the ribbon cutting for the new MELTology restaurant, located at the former Friendly&#8217;s. Owner Kevin Muller and staff are serving great sandwiches, salads, crepes and more.\u00a0 Kevin is a Longwood grad who once managed that site when it was Friendly&#8217;s. Welcome home, Kevin! And on July 25, we joined Brookhaven Town officials, 7Eleven corporate folk, and Michael Nelin for the official groundbreaking for the new 7Eleven\/Fuel Station on the northeast corner of Rts21 and 25.\u00a0 The &#8220;No Gas&#8221; gas station should have gas and coffee for sale before Christmas.
