Dear Friends —<\/span><\/div>\n

It breaks my heart to inform you of the passing of our dear friend and past MICA president, Tom Talbot.\u00a0 Tom died earlier today after a long illness.\u00a0 Tom was one of a kind: a true gentleman in every sense of the word, a devoted family man, and\u00a0 an amazing community volunteer.\u00a0 He was a long time officer in our civic, ABCO, the Longwood Alliance and Rotary.\u00a0 With his beloved wife, Judi, he traveled the world as an ambassador of good will, embodying the Rotarian principles, and also hosted many international families and students.\u00a0Tom was one of the founders of the Great Brookhaven Town Clean Up. I am forever indebted to him for his lessons of patience and perseverance.\u00a0 Funeral arrangements, linked below, are set for Saturday, June 2 at Rocky Point Funeral Home.\u00a0 I will consult with our board members on making a contribution to a worthy cause in Tom’s memory, and I would like to rename our upcoming\u00a0 June 5th awards to the two Longwood HS seniors as the Thomas L. Talbot Community Service Awards.

Obituary of Thomas Talbot<\/h1>\n

Thomas L. Talbot, age 76, of Middle Island died Sunday, May 27, 2018. Thomas was born November 25, 1941 in Bronx, NY. He is the son of the late Kenneth and the late Dorothy (Coleman) Talbot. He was employed by Con Edison in New York City, NY as a Project Manager. He is survived by his wife: Judith (Schwenken) Talbot and two daughters: Cynthia Kahl of Middle Island, NY and Sandra Saronka of Wantagh, NY, his brother: Robert Talbot of Rensselaer, NY; He also has 6 grandchildren and one great-grandson. The religious services will be held 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 2 at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. A Private cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be Saturday, June 2 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.
