Statement From Supervisor Ed Romaine Regarding Brookhaven Town\u2019s Snow Removal Operation<\/p>\n
Farmingville, NY \u2013 <\/strong>\u201cThe Town Highway Department went on the road at 3:00 am this morning and are currently in a sand and salt operation. Approximately 225 Town and contractor trucks equipped with sanders have been dispatched throughout the Town. The Highway Department will switch to a plowing operation as soon as the snow accumulates. The Town is keeping a close watch on the weather forecast and the Highway Department will dispatch additional equipment as conditions warrant.
